How credit repair works here

Three legs to the summit

01

Find the errors

Import your reports from Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion. The AI reads every tradeline and cross-checks the bureaus against each other — a balance reported two ways, a date that doesn’t add up, an item past its reporting window. Those are the obstacles on your route.

02

Dispute with the law behind you

For every flagged item, the AI drafts a dispute grounded in FCRA §611 — the statute that forces bureaus to reinvestigate and delete what they can’t verify. You review and approve every letter. Nothing is mailed without your sign-off.

03

Track to the summit

Paid plans mail your letters first-class with USPS tracking. The app then watches each bureau’s 30-day reinvestigation clock, logs every response, and reminds you before a deadline slips. You always know the next move.

What’s in the kit

Seven tools, one climb

01

AI credit repair disputes

The AI drafts dispute letters grounded in FCRA §611 for every inaccurate item it finds. You review and approve each one — nothing is ever mailed without your sign-off.

02

Bureau response tracking

Every mailed dispute is tracked against its 30-day reinvestigation clock. The moment a bureau responds, you see the outcome and the next move.

03

Credit report analysis

Import reports from Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion. The AI reads every tradeline, cross-checks the bureaus against each other, and flags what looks inaccurate, incomplete, or inconsistent.

04

Credit score tracking

Watch your altitude change. Score tracking runs on every plan — including Free — so you can see what each dispute round actually moved.

05

Credit utilization calculation

A free tool — no signup required. See your utilization per card and overall, and how each move would shift the number that drives roughly a third of your score.

06

Dispute letter generation

Each letter cites the specific statute behind the challenge and the exact inaccuracies in the item — not a template blast, but a case built per tradeline.

07

Fall-off date calculation

A free tool that computes when a negative item ages off your report under the FCRA's reporting windows — seven years for most items, ten for some bankruptcies.

From the route

Climbers, mid-ascent

“What sold me was that nothing goes out without my sign-off. Every letter cites the exact FCRA section, and I can read it before a stamp touches it.”

Denise R.Premium member

“I started on the free plan just to see what the analysis would find. It caught a late payment dated wrong by eleven months — the dispute drafted itself from there.”

Elena S.Free → Pro member

“The deadline tracking is the part nobody talks about. The app watched the 30-day clock on every dispute and nudged me the moment a bureau responded.”

Jamal W.Starter member

“The AI flagged a collection that was reporting two different balances to two different bureaus. I approved the letter, it went out tracked, and the item came off both reports in the first round.”

Answers

Asked on every climb

Which credit bureaus does thecredit cover?

All three nationwide credit bureaus: Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion. You can import reports from each bureau, and the AI cross-checks them — an item reported differently by two bureaus is often itself a disputable inaccuracy. Every plan that includes dispute letters covers all three bureaus at no extra charge.

Is thecredit CROA compliant? Do you guarantee outcomes?

thecredit is built around the Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA). We charge a flat subscription — no advance fees for services not yet rendered, no per-deletion charges, and no fees tied to results. We do not and cannot guarantee that any item will be deleted or that your score will rise by a specific amount; no credit repair organization may lawfully promise that. thecredit is software you operate: you decide what to dispute, and every letter goes out with your approval.

Can I dispute inaccurate negative items on my credit reports?

Yes. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) §611, you have the right to dispute any item on your credit report that you believe is inaccurate, incomplete, or unverifiable. thecredit helps you find those items — late payments, collections, charge-offs, and other negative marks — and drafts disputes grounded in the FCRA. You review and approve every letter before it goes out. Once a bureau receives a dispute, it generally has 30 days to investigate and respond.

What is the FCRA §611 dispute process?

Section 611 of the Fair Credit Reporting Act gives you the right to dispute inaccurate or incomplete information directly with the credit bureaus. Once a bureau receives your dispute, it must conduct a reasonable reinvestigation — typically within 30 days — and correct or delete information it cannot verify. thecredit drafts letters that cite §611 and the specific inaccuracies in each item, mails them for you on paid plans, and tracks the 30-day clock for every bureau so no deadline slips by.

How does AI credit repair work?

You import your credit reports from all three bureaus. The AI reads every tradeline and flags items that look inaccurate, incomplete, inconsistent across bureaus, or past their reporting window. It then drafts FCRA-grounded dispute letters citing the specific statutes behind each challenge. You stay in control: the AI drafts and analyzes, but you review and approve every letter before it is mailed. On paid plans we send your letters first-class with USPS tracking, and the app tracks each bureau's response and deadline for you.
